The Craft of Kashi

Banarasi is not a single fabric or finish. It is a family of silks, structures and decorative techniques, each carrying its own texture, movement and relationship with light.

Katan Silk

Fine silk yarns are twisted before weaving, creating a smooth, structured fabric with a graceful fall and a quietly luminous surface.

Kora Silk

Light, crisp and gently sheer, Kora silk gives zari and woven motifs an airy clarity while remaining elegant enough for occasion dressing.

Tissue Weaves

Metallic threads are worked through the weave to create a soft, light-catching glow that shifts as the fabric moves.

Mashru Silk

Recognised for its smooth, lustrous face and supple drape, Mashru brings depth of colour and an almost satin-like richness to Banarasi weaving.

Brocade & Meenakari

Brocade builds motifs directly into the cloth, while Meenakari introduces coloured silk accents that make floral and traditional forms feel jewel-like.
